Liter of Light is a global, grassroots movement that uses inexpensive, readily available materials to provide high quality solar lighting to people with limited or no access to electricity. We created the website for their Bottle Light Project, which promotes the use of recycled plastics as solar-powered lightbulbs.

Visuals were inspired by the local urban landscape, which is in the context of up-cycling with found objects. We worked with a visual artist who restructured urban junk into a cohesive visual world that tied together the DIY essence of Liter of Light and still maintained the youthful Pepsi brand values.
Plastic Pepsi bottles, discarded wood, bits and bobs were designed to create a visual narrative of the process of creating a liter of light, in a scrolling parallax site that animated the illustrations.
